The pandemic has forced us to re-define the university experience but Sikkim Professional University has remained unshakable in our commitment to students. To ensure that our students receive the accolades they deserve and receive the best possible send offs, the Sikkim Professional University Fifth Convocation 2021 was held on May 8, 2021.
The occasion was further enriched by the presence of our Guest of Honour, Shri Kunga Nima Lepcha – Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Dept., Education Dept., & Law Dept., Government of Sikkim and Shri Achyuta Samanta – Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha and Special Guest, Shri G.P. Upadhyaya – I.A.S, Additional Chief Secretary, Educational Department, Government of Sikkim.
After the performance of Saraswati Vandana; Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of SPU – Prof. H. H. Hasan delivered the convocation address and paid tribute to the invincible spirit of our healthcare workers and educational institutions which are in their own ways waging war against the COVID-19 pandemic. He urged students to be responsible citizens and flag bearers of progress for our country.
After the felicitation of University toppers from respective streams, the programme came to an end with the National Anthem. We wish all our students a successful ride ahead in all their endeavours.
