Academic Council

The Academic Council is the highest academic body of the university that is responsible for maintaining standards of education, instructions, and examinations within the university. The primary role of the Council is to regulate the issues related to academic matters, add-on degree programs, modification of any degree program, and overall development of academics of the University.  It also has the authority to advise Vice-Chancellors and the Board of Governors. The Vice-Chancellor is the Chairperson of the Academic Council whereas other members are nominated by the VC of the University.

The key role of the Academic Council is to implement the policies to improve the quality of the academic programs of the University and to rectify the conditions of admissions and changes in the departments if required.

Academic Council has the right to modify, add or discontinue any of the academic units of the degree program, but all these academic modifications can be done only after the majority votes of its members with a subject to approval by the Chairperson of the Academic Council.
